Spa Partner Spotlight on The Newman, London
In London’s vibrant Fitzrovia neighborhood, tuck into a dedicated space for quiet restoration. The Newman Hotel’s wellness floor feels like a breath of fresh air, a space guided by the principles of the Swedish Grace Movement, focusing on simplicity, clean craftsmanship, and understated design.
Our partnership with The Newman is rooted in a shared appreciation for quality, integrity, and highly individual care. Because we view wellness through a similar lens, they have chosen to work exclusively with NUORI formulations across their treatment menu to bring their holistic skin philosophy to life.
We recently checked in with The Newman’s Spa Manager, Winni, who shared her insights on inner stillness, summer skin refinement, and considered morning rituals.
Winni: Wellness at The Newman Hotel is rooted in the idea that restoration should feel elegant, intuitive, and deeply personal. Inspired by the Swedish Grace Movement, known for its balance of simplicity, craftsmanship, and understated beauty, the wellness floor reflects a sense of calm refinement rather than excess. It is a space designed to soothe the senses and create room to breathe in the heart of London.
Every treatment is thoughtfully personalized to the needs of the guest on that day, recognizing that wellbeing is never static. We hope guests leave feeling lighter, clearer, and reconnected with themselves.
Winni: We believe the skin often reflects how we feel internally. When the nervous system is under pressure, it can show up as dullness, sensitivity, or tension in the face. Beginning the morning with a sound bath allows guests to settle into a parasympathetic state - softer breathing, slower thoughts, less internal noise.
From there, skincare becomes more than a routine; it becomes a continuation of that calm. Products absorb differently when we are relaxed, facial muscles soften, circulation improves, and the complexion naturally appears more radiant. Outer glow is often the visible result of inner ease.
The Newman has chosen to work exclusively with NUORI across your treatments. What drew you to a freshly-made, all-natural approach to skincare, and how does that align with the way you care for your guests?
Winni: Our partnership with NUORI felt natural because both brands value quality, integrity, and a highly individual approach to care. While we work exclusively with NUORI across the wellness floor, no two treatments are the same. Each experience begins with understanding the guest’s skin, energy levels, and what they need most in that moment, allowing our therapists to tailor every treatment for truly personal results.
As we move into the warmer months, the skin’s needs shift - often quietly, before we notice. What small but meaningful changes do you encourage your guests to make in their routine as they step into summer?
Winni: Summer skincare is often about refinement rather than reinvention. We encourage guests to lighten texture where needed - perhaps swapping richer creams for more breathable hydration, while maintaining consistent moisture levels.
Daily SPF becomes non-negotiable, and gentle exfoliation can help support clarity and luminosity as temperatures rise. We also remind guests that hydration is holistic: more water, more sleep, and less overloading the skin with too many products. Often the most effective summer routine is a simpler one.
At NUORI, we believe a daily ritual can be both effective and deeply restorative. What does a considered morning look like for the therapists at The Newman, and is there a simple practice - beyond product - you’d recommend to anyone looking to glow from the inside out?
Winni: For our therapists, a considered morning begins with presence. Before the day starts, there is usually a moment to reset - stretching, hydration, a few grounding breaths, and creating calm before caring for others. That steadiness shapes every treatment we give.
For guests, we often encourage beginning the day with gentle movement followed by time in the wellness circuit. Moving between the sauna or steam room and a cooling experience such as the ice lounge can be incredibly invigorating, helping to awaken circulation, reduce tension, and leave both skin and mind looking fresher. A moment in the hydrotherapy pool can further ease the body, while the halotherapy salt room offers a quieter pause for breath and restoration.
Beyond product, the simplest practice we recommend is creating even ten minutes of intentional stillness each morning - whether through breathwork, light movement, or contrast therapy. When circulation improves and the nervous system feels balanced, that inner vitality often becomes the glow people notice most.
